Keep your fuel pressure steady and prevent misfires with a new FPR!
ACES PCdbAir and Fuel Delivery > Fuel Injection System and Related Components > Fuel Injection Pressure Regulator
Product Description
Fuel injection in modern cars is pulse-width modulated: to deliver X amount of fuel to the cylinders, the injectors stay open for Y milliseconds, allowing a set amount of fuel to flow through them. Precise fuel rail pressure keeps the injectors flowing exactly as much as the engine needs to run smoothly and cleanly.
If you're seeing lean starts/hard starts or the engine is stumbling under load, your Fuel Pressure Regulator (or FPR) may not be working within specifications, and is worth checking out.
This 4-bar Bosch FPR was fitted as OE to many VWs and Audis, and is a perfect drop-in replacement to get you back on the road.
In some applications which were originally fitted with a 3-bar FPR, it may also be used as a performance upgrade part if your tuner indicates you need greater fuel pressure at the rail for your tune; check with your tuner first if ordering as an upgrade part.
