Product Description
The VW/Audi 1.8T is a stout little motor, with its closed-deck iron block and great 5-valve breathing. But one weakness its always had has been the ignition coil packs, particularly early revisions.
2.0T FSI coil packs from the later direct-injected motors are pin compatible, but slightly taller. This conversion kit therefore includes 2.0T FSI "Red Top" coils as used on the Audi R8, plus Genuine VW adapter plates as used on the later VW/Audi 4.2 V8s which had this conversion from the factory.

Potential Product Fitment Issues
For 4-pin ignition coils. Some very early 1.8Ts have 3-pin ignition coil connectors.
4.2 V8 cars like the Phaeton and Touareg will require two sets of adapters.
